London riots - Woolwich hit.

VIOLENCE is reaching new heights as series of riots and looting reaches South East London Boroughs last night.

Woolwich in the borough of Greenwich was subject to large scales of vandalism last night as groups of youths were involved in riots and looting in the area. The riots in London first erupted in Tottenham, following the death of local man Mark Duggan last weekend.

Riots and violent behaviour broke out throughout the night as buildings were set on fire and shops were broken into. In Woolwich, it was confirmed that a police car had also been set on fire and vandalised.

The events in other parts of London are thought to be a result of copycat behaviour of the incidents in North London. Information is thought to be being spread by social media updates from related organised gangs of youths.
